Happy at 100% when dealing with food, drinks, traveling, music gigs, and bringing my social 'me'. Ideally, all of them at the same time. That's me, I guess.

And now what?
The thing that I like the most as a UX/UI designer is that it has allowed me to align many skills that were completely scattered in my mind. My experience as a journalist (writing, interviewing, researching amazing topics), my background as a senior copywriter (marketing, SEO, CRM, data analysis, design and / or project management) and my natural problem-solver attitude has led me to reach the best professional version of myself.
Can you prove that?
Yes of course, deep dive into my Work section and you will find how I have applied the design thinking process to build a learning platform, a vocabulary app, a redesign to increase donations in an NGO site and a music app for music festivals. But, most of all, I am very looking forward for new challenges!

And now what?
I am happy as a UX writer, of course! However, I wanted to learn more about UX -from research to prototyping- and learn how to cover the whole process by myself. In a nutshell, I wanted to expand my knowledge to understand all the steps that make user experiences successful and meaningful. I guess it is fair to keep learning! That's why I decided to take a career break to start a UX immersion course (Career Foundry).
Luckily, the outcome has been AWESOME! This learning journey has allowed me to align skills (almost) forgotten in my mind. Now, my experience as a journalist (writing, interviewing, researching topics) complements my copywriting skills (marketing, SEO, CRM, data analysis, design, and project management) and vice versa. UX has put everything together. I am convinced I have reached the best professional version of myself.

Why did I decide to become a UX writer?
It has been a natural transition! As a journalist or copywriter, I have always been curious about my content performance for newspaper articles and marketing copy. During my last role in a gambling company, this curiosity allowed me to learn more about my audience by diving into metrics (Hello, Tableau).
Step by step, I learned to adapt my content to user needs and deliver a better product through a human-centered perspective or by bringing my content strategy skills to the table. My keen interest in analytics grew and triggered my research skills in many ways: data reports, competitive analyses, tests, and chasing experts in other teams to create crafted content that resonated with the audience.
My research allowed me to learn a lot about product features, and even find user patterns that triggered new solutions, resulting in new additions to the company roadmap.
Hola! I am Carlos, a UX writer who has completed a career change during the last year. I am open to collaborations remotely.
